At the beginning of July twenty Fashion Futures finalists, sponsored by George at Asda, headed east to craft their designs for the London Fashion Week catwalk.

As always it was a challenge - to create a catwalk ready garment in just five days. But this year our plucky finalists thrived under the pressure, even defying a full scale tube strike to ensure they completed their Japanese and Korean inspired designs by Friday’s deadline.

Chosen from over 100 young people across the capital who took part in Fashion Futures workshops earlier this year, the teen finalists will see their garments brought to life this September at Fashion Scout in Covent Garden.

Thanks to Fashion Futures sponsors George at Asda and to workshop hosts the University of East London.

See more photos from the workshops on twitter @fadcharity. Look out for interviews with this year’s finalists on the FAD blog.
