Stage 1 - Saturday Workshops
21st January - 18th March 2006

The seven-week project will give the students the opportunity to develop a greater understanding of the Fashion industry. They will be taught by practising designers and lecturers with a design background.

Workshop One
Introduction to the brief: Ancient Greek Art and Culture meet the London Olympics - 2012. Figure drawing and mood boards.

Workshop Two
Fashion design and technical illustrations.

Workshop Three
Pattern cutting and draping on a stand.
Industry Day Trip to George at ASDA Design Studios, London.

Workshop Four
Meet the accessory designer.

Workshop Five
Careers in the fashion industry. Constructing a toile.

Workshop Six
Developing the toile.

Workshop Seven
Presentation of work and jury panel.

Final Exhibition
Wednesday 26th April 2006 at Shoreditch Town Hall

Exhibition of all students work, presentation of certificates and announcement of 16 finalists who will progress to Stage 2.
