The leadership academy were joined by Maryam Mazraei – budding entrepreneur and one half of ethical menswear brand Rella, and Graphic Designer Julie Thomas – both ladies visited the FAD office to talk about fashion marketing and branding.
Freelance Graphic Designer and menswear fashion designer Maryam Mazraie, discussed how she and her partner made a name for themselves and how they developed RELLA into an ethical clothing brand – designing for the man of today while enhancing product quality.
Maryam went on to talk about the different ways of how RELLA is marketed for example through the use of social media platforms, promotional advert clips and collaborative projects.
Julie Thomas’s presentation focused on branding and brand identity. Having worked in the industry as a graphic designer for over 10 years, Julie discussed the importance of brand identity and the factors that are involved in developing a strong brand, for example, having a good logo and making sure that it is simple, memorable, timeless, versatile and appropriate.
