This week was the last chance for the students to finish their toiles with help from the tutors and volunteers.
It was difficult to spot an unused sewing machine as the young people were on focused on the final race to finish.
The workshop carried on a little longer than usual to give everyone the chance to get as close to completion as possible. Those that didn’t manage to finish off will be working independently at home or school this week to be ready for presentation day.
We’re all excited for the presentations next week, when the Fashion Futures 2017 group will show off their finished toiles to a jury panel. The panel’s favourite 20 designs will go on to be made in full during the summer school in July, and shown on the catwalk at LFW in September.
Good luck to all of the students, and well done for all of your progress and diligence so far!
