“I’ve learned a lot, definitely confidence – you have to be confident in what you’re doing. I feel a lot more independent, because basically I study Fashion at college and we’re not really given much independence. But here, even though there were a few patterns that I was helped with, I really like the fact that I had control.
I’ve also learned a lot about the machines, the uses of it, how they work, what you can do to repair this, and how you can substitute one material for the other to still get the same design you’re looking to get.
I really enjoy it – the more you keep learning, and designing, you get more ideas and it never ends, and you keep going – it’s like a chain! I really like it.”
Being at the show is an absolute pleasure, an opportunity that’s once in a lifetime, basically. When I got here I was like “Wow. Am I really here?”
